Polar travels to Giant City State Park-Laura McBride

On February 21, 2012, Polar and I took a trip to Giant City State Park. It was a beautiful day to spend outside. We enjoyed a nice, peaceful, and scenic hike. The trail we hiked was where the Native Americans built the historic Stonefort in 600-900 AD. Although the use for the fort is debated upon, it still remains today. We traveled from northern Carbondale, Illinois to Makanda, Illinois with a total of 28.38 miles round trip. This means Polar has traveled a total of 3118.38 miles!
